Betty's Place is a full-service residence with caring staff available 24 hours a day to assist you. Betty personally oversees every detail of the operation and is available at the residence to offer assistance whenever needed. Betty's Place exists to help adopting families feel comfortable during their stay in Bogotá. Therefore, the residence provides many services that families may need to care for a new baby and older siblings or, to travel around Bogotá and within Colombia.

Services at Betty's Place include:

  • Professional baby nurse available daily and in the evening, when needed
  • A Pediatrician is available 24 hours a day to visit Betty's Place to examine children and prescribe medication
  • Home cooked meals (optional) prepared by our staff
  • Transportation arrangements with trusted drivers
  • Bi-lingual guides for touring the City
  • Sightseeing arrangements upon request
  • Color television with cable in all of the bedrooms and the living room. (DVD and VCRs are also available)
  • Free telephone service for guests to call the U.S. (Telephone service to Europe is $0.10 per minute)
  • Free local telephone calls
  • Free wireless and hard line, high-Speed Internet
  • Free use of a desktop computer
  • Complimentary cell phones provided that can be filled up with minutes at your discretion
  • Use of fax machine at international calling rates
  • Check cashing and currency exchange services upon request
  • Arrangements can be made so that guest families can celebrate important dates, such as wedding anniversaries or birthdays at the residence.

Betty’s Place staff has been carefully selected and trained to fulfill the needs of our international guests and to provide them with the highest standards of service that is characteristic of Betty’s Place.

Try to learn how to ask in Spanish for foods or other things. They’ll enjoy helping you and you will probably make them laugh a lot! They usually have no difficulty in meeting the needs of our guests, and remember if Betty is not at the residence at the moment, she is just a cell phone call away at (57) 3 (315) 355-9092.

Our staff has been vaccinated against several common contagious diseases and is administered periodic health tests. They are also required to maintain at all times - the highest standards of cleanliness and exercise special care in the preparation of our guests’ meals. The residence is periodically fumigated in order to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Betty is prepared for her infant guests. Betty has several cribs, bouncers, infant swings, infant play gyms, bottle sterilizers, microwaves by the bedrooms, portable heaters, infant toys, strollers, and much more. Make sure you check with Betty before lugging tons of baby stuff down to Colombia. She will tell you exactly what you need to bring and what is provided at Betty's Place. Betty can also let you know what products you can and can not buy in Colombia.
